


MEET MICHAEL
KEEPING THE CITIZENS OF RED RIVER PARISH INFORMED AND PROTECTED
Michael Antilley is a retired Law Enforcement Officer who has worked in all areas of Law Enforcement. Michael began his career working for LifeCare EMS services as an EMT, and on days off he worked for Natchitoches Police Department as a Reserve Officer. After working as a Reserve Officer, Michael decided that Law Enforcement was his calling.
Michael began as a full-time officer with Natchitoches Police department in 1995. He worked his way up to a Corporal and in 2001 he decided to move to Red River Parish and work under then Sheriff Buddy Huckabay.
Michael worked six years for Red River Sheriff's Department under two former sheriffs: Sheriff Buddy Huckabay and Sheriff Johnny Ray Norman. While working for Red River Parish Sheriff's Department, he worked his way from a patrol deputy, to a Lieutenant, and finally to Juvenile Detective / D.A.R.E. officer.
In 2007 Michael decided to further his career and join the Louisiana State Police. While a State Trooper, Michael served on the Mobile Field Force aiding citizens and other police agencies in disasters or problems that need extra attention. He became certified in Accident Reconstruction, was a Field Training Officer helping in the education of new troopers, and he was stationed as the trooper in Red River Parish. Michael served as a State Trooper for Troop G for 14 years.
In June of 2021, Michael retired from the Louisiana State Police as a Senior Trooper with the intent to run for Sheriff of Red River Parish in the 2023 Elections.
Family is very important in Michael's life. Michael is married to Jamie (Missi) Antilley who is a life resident of Red River Parish. Missi has taught at Red River High School for 24 years and has coached girls basketball for 10 years. Michael and Missi have 4 children:
Kaylee Antilley (22), Kaitlyn Antilley (20), Kyleigh Antilley (16), and Kolten Antilley (14).
Michael is the son of David and Helen Antilley of Natchitoches Parish and son-in-law of Jimmy and Melinda Hardy of Red River Parish (former owners of our parish's only TV provider - Red River Cable TV).
